As much as we hate to admit it, summer has already flown by and the end is near. With that said, it is the perfect time to invest in items that will carry you through the rest of summer into fall – nothing beats a two for one deal, am I right ladies?

There is nothing better than finding a versatile piece, so I found my top three statement pieces at Blond Genius, located in West Des Moines, that you can wear now AND later. Check it out.

Statement #1: Camo tee.

I am picky with patterns, but I always find myself falling for fun camo pieces. For summer, I paired it with my some relaxed jean shorts for an on-the-go look. For some s’mores and bonfire nights, I added a cropped sweatshirt for a simple layered look.

To transition this piece to fall, I added a sassy flare and eye-catching jacket. Throw on your favorite black booties and you are set to own any room you walk into.

Statement #2: Black jumpsuit.

Little black dress? More like little black jumpsuit. We all know the best thing about jumpsuits is that they are the easiest outfits to make – throw it on you look fabulous without any effort. For summer, I added simple sandals, a neutral bracelet stack and a classy, floppy hat to block the sun on the final hot days before fall.

I am in love with this transition because sweater weather is the best. With one step, I broke up the jumpsuit by adding the comfiest cardigan and a patterned flat. Wear this look to the office, church or grocery shopping – it is versatile, classy and comfortable!

Statement #3: Plaid shirt.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t obsessed with this look. Some say flannels aren’t girly, but I beg to differ. I tucked this statement piece into a distressed, high-waisted denim skirt to break up the bold pattern. To add a little rustic glamour with accessories, I paired together heels, a camel purse and much-needed sunglasses.

For the final fall transition, I have untucked the plaid to break up an otherwise all black outfit. Throw on a blazer and legging to create a perfect outfit for dinner dates because first, it look effortless and second, leggings leave you feeling comfortable after a big meal – it’s a fashionable feast!

It’s as simple as that! Now you are ready to take on the next season without any more style stress.
