an Italian version of the happiest place on earth.
There are few things we will get up at 6 a.m. for. Mirabilandia is one of them.
Mirabilandia is Italy’s largest amusement park located in Ravenna, just north of Martinsicuro. We couldn’t wait to see what it was all about!
Before we get into details, we want to give a huge grazie to Mirabilandia and the generous staff for sponsoring our day of fun here. Our favorite perk was the FlashPass, which allowed us to skip all of the long lines. Mirabilandia made our experience unforgettable by ensuring the ability to see what every ride and attraction offered, sometimes more than once!
Here is a look into our magical day at Mirabilandia.

We traveled along with Rae’s cousin and a couple of his buddies for a day full of rides, fun and laughter. The drive was along the coastline with a perfect view of the sunrise – we knew this was a sign it would be a beautiful day.
We got hooked up with FlashPasses and were ready to conquer the first coaster. The giddy amusement park feeling brought us back to middle school, hence the pose.
Past the entrance and en route to iSpeed we went. Mirabilandia is known for iSpeed, as it goes almost 75 mph at the start and plummets to the ground from 180 ft. in the air.
We rode iSpeed three times in my day at Mirabilandia. The last time, Rae made me ride the whole time with no hands.
Another favorite of mine was the Oil Towers. There are two different towers – one takes you to the top and drops you for a free fall to the bottom and the other launches you from the bottom straight to the top. Both give you an amazing view of the park and butterflies in your stomach.
This ride is called Reset! It takes you through the remains of a post-apocalyptic New York City. Each person gets a laser gun and you compete for the highest score. Della won every time. We think it’s because Rae continued to point her laser gun at Della…
We were tired from the morning of running around like little kids, but excited for what the afternoon would bring.
Rather than rushing to another roller coaster with a full stomach, we decided to join the little ones on the carousel. We might have been the oldest ones there, but we fit in just fine.
The walk through all of the kiddie rides was precious, so we had to stop and take pictures. Anyone looking for a fun spot for the little ones, we found it at Mirabilandia.
After some more rides here and there, we made our way to another one of our favorites, Katun. We aren’t the only one that loves this one, it’s actually the number one inverted coaster in Europe! This is a once in a lifetime ride so we decided ride it… four times.
All four rides on the Katun were so much fun, but we would be lying if we said we weren’t completely exhausted after the day full of loops and screams.
After a fun-filled day, we hit the road and headed back for Martinsicuro. It is safe to say that we will never forget our magical day with Mirabilandia.
We would without a doubt recommend Mirabilandia to anyone on looking for an exciting day near the Adriatic Sea. From people in their twenties to families with small children, Mirabilandia has an adventure for everybody.
always, della & rae
