relaxation: what santorini is all about.
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word relaxation? For me, it is a spa day.
When I arrived to Lilium Zen Spa, I found myself in a beautiful white building surrounded by the bright blue sea. With a view for days, I managed to step my way inside the spa to meet Theodoros.
I was welcomed by Theodoros with a smiling face. He showed me around the beautiful space and explained his plans for an up and coming renovation that will help clients fall into an even deeper relaxation.
Lilium Zen Spa is completed with two massage beds, a shiatsu corner, an infrared sauna bath, heated jacuzzi hydropool and a spacious room to change and shower. (And most importantly, extremely comfortable robes).
After the tour, it was time to relax. I tried the deep tissue massage, one of Theodoros’s specialties. He also is well-known for his techniques in Shiatsu massage – a pressure point massage that coincides with Chinese medicine. I decided I will have to try it out the next time I am on the island.
I was also able to enjoy the sauna and jacuzzi.
Once I was finished with my massage, Theodoros gave me some insight on what brands he uses, including Ahava, Neal’s Yard and some of his own creations. He is a big fan of Neal’s Yard Remedies for all of his clients. Each time he is in the UK, where it is based out of, he makes sure to invest in their products to bring back to Lilium Zen Spa. Not only does it smell good, but they create some of the best product on the market for natural remedies and organic skincare.
After a perfect afternoon, I said goodbye to Theodoros and walked down the stairs to take in the beautiful Lilium view one more time.
Thank you, Lilium Zen Spa, I loved every minute of my day with you. I can’t wait to come back again!
always, madeline
